Lawrence Grey's debut EP Claustrophilia is available now, as a digital EP as well as one side of a 12″ split with Wake. Claustrophilia is a dance floor oriented study in syncopation. The synthesizers, samples, tempos, and time signatures are constantly evolving over the course of the five tracks. Although it can be enjoyed alone with a pair of headphones, Grey designed it with a crowded, sweaty dancefloor in mind. After studying music composition for four years, this EP is Grey’s return to club driven productions. Writing and producing all of Claustrophilia during the summer following his graduation from NYU, the energy of this creative surge is palpable throughout the record. Claustrophilia is only the beginning of the clever dance music you can expect from Lawrence Grey.
